Youth Voice | Josephine Adeti Otieno: Linking Agriculture to Financial Markets Project Aids Kenyan Smallholder Farmers

Josephine Adeti Otieno, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Ravada Mercantile, from Kenya, presented her "Linking Agriculture to Financial Markets" project at this year's World Youth Development Forum. Operating in Katilu, Kenya, the project partners with banks and the government to let smallholder farmers use stored grains as loan collateral. It is now aiding 1,000 farmers and targeting 10,000 more to boost Kenyan and African agricultural development.
