Youth Voice | Drishti Technologies: Abhash Smart Cane & Glasses Empower Visually Impaired Inclusion

At the 2025 Acceleration Week for Global Youth Development, Drishti Technologies from Bangladesh introduced its assistive solutions for visually impaired individuals. The program has developed the Abhash Smart Cane and Smart Glasses to help blind users overcome educational and life obstacles. In pilot projects, the smart cane has enabled over 300 users to travel safely, while smart glasses are being tested in schools. More than 200 visually impaired students have used these technologies, resulting in a 46% increase in classroom participation and a 59% boost in access to social opportunities. By enhancing mobility, learning, and social inclusion, Drishti Technologies is ensuring that visually impaired individuals can fully realize their potential.(Editor: Wang Shuocheng, Zhang Minyu)
